"Miss Kate M. Gordon is president of the Southern States Woman Suffrage Conference, and editor of the "New Southern Citizen." Miss Gordon some years ago visited Oregon and held suffrage meetings in this state. She says concerning party responsibility, "We believe that the first step in our campaign is to get the Democratic Party to commit itself to suffrage.
