English: President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo received a state visit by Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java Province, on Monday, 19 June 2023. This was Emperor Naruhito's first visit to Indonesia since ascending the throne to become Emperor of Japan on 1 May 2019.
The convoy of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako's vehicles arrived at the gates of the Bogor Palace at around 10.00 WIB accompanied by Indonesian troops, cavalry and the musical corps of the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres). President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana then greeted the two when they got out of the car and immediately shook hands.
Bahasa Indonesia: Presiden Joko Widodo dan Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo menerima kunjungan kenegaraan Kaisar Jepang Naruhito dan Permaisuri Masako di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat, pada Senin, 19 Juni 2023. Ini merupakan kunjungan perdana Kaisar Naruhito ke Indonesia sejak naik tahta menjadi Kaisar Jepang pada 1 Mei 2019.
Iring-iringan kendaraan Kaisar Naruhito dan Permaisuri Masako tiba di pintu gerbang Istana Bogor sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB dengan diiringi pasukan Nusantara, pasukan berkuda, dan korps musik Pasukan Pengamanan Presiden (Paspampres). Presiden Jokowi dan Ibu Iriana kemudian menyambut keduanya saat turun dari mobil dan langsung bersalaman.
