Mother's name
[edit]Is his mother's maiden name Popov or Popow? The article uses both. If there's disagreement on the spelling, the article should state so and pick one to be consistent. PumpkinSky talk 11:10, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing that. Popov is the English spelling of the Polish name Popow (which is a most likely transliteration from the Cyrillic script). Both are accurate and pronounced the same, except that in the Polish language the letter "v" is never used in this case. Either of them can be added in parentheses for consistency. Poeticbent talk 14:38, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
- I made an edit to resolve this. Tks. PumpkinSky talk 23:35, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
Advice?
[edit]Could someone specify what the "life-saving piece of advice" he received was? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Incredulousbadger (talk • contribs) 02:44, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
- Quote: Willenberg received a life-saving piece of advice at the unloading ramp, from one of the Jewish Auffanglager prisoners."[15] to pose "as a seasoned bricklayer" (which he was not). Poeticbent talk 06:16, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
[edit]The first paragraph states he was involved in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising but it apparent from the article that he was only involved in the later Warsaw Uprising of the (mainly) non-Jewish population. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:558:6033:5D:7457:1A0A:AA43:E830 (talk) 03:53, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
