Autonomous Community flags

[edit]

Why are they being used? La Fuzion (K lo K) 16:06, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

indeed, seems like nationalist motives being at play. a football article isn't the right place for that. this isn't done for any other team. not even the spanish men's team. there are no passports for the region flags (they are not all autonomous communities either https://wiki.eso.workers.dev/wiki/Spain_national_football_team#Current_squad ), so it's just an undefined notion. -- 92.196.110.185 (talk) 09:49, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

it was added by an IP 5 years ago https://wiki.eso.workers.dev/w/index.php?title=Spain_women%27s_national_football_team&oldid=504989829 i removed it -- 92.196.110.185 (talk) 12:17, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 13:04, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional Coach Stats

[edit]

On the 6 April 2018 an editor added - A draw counts as a ½ win - to the coach manager stats bumping Jorge Vilda from 67.65% to 75%. This ½ a point for a win is not used on any other coach manager stats and as such gives a false impression. I am surprised that this has not been removed in the past. I believe by reverting the false information it will give wiki users a more truthful picture of the coach history. I have adjusted the stats for Ignacio Quereda taking note of the cited ref and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Group E.

# Head Coach Period Matches Wins Draws Losses Winning % Competitions.
1 Spain Rafael Muga February 1971 – October 1980 6 0 1 5 0.0% unofficial matches[1]
2 Spain Teodoro Nieto January 1981 – July 1988 19 4 5 10 21.05% no competitions[2]
3 Spain Ignacio Quereda August 1988 – July 2015 142 53 37 52 37.32% [3] 1997 European Championship SF
Euro 2013 QF
2015 World Cup GS
4 Spain Jorge Vilda August 2015 – September 2023 108 75 16 17 69.44% Euro 2017 QF
2019 World Cup R16
Euro 2022 QF
2023 World Cup 1st place, gold medalist(s)
5 Spain Montserrat Tomé September 2023 – 0 0 0 0 0.0%

I have again removed the Winning percentage which is being used to falsely to inflate the Head coach stats this is used in the American National Football League and has no place in Association football.Pauseypaul (talk) 13:16, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jorge Vilda was sacked on the 5 September 2023, not in August 2023

[edit]

On 5 September 2023, Vilda was dismissed by the acting president, Pedro Rocha, as national coach, his position as coach had clearly become untenable. [4] He was fired on 5 September.[5] Unless you have an earlier referenced date please don't change the Manager history from 5 September. Pauseypaul (talk) 23:38, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
