I began as a Wikipedia editor in September 2003 under the username KuatofKDY. Although technically "Whaleyland" predates this username, I barely used it until April 2008 when I completely switched to my new username to standardise my internet persona. My primary editing focus from 2003 to 2008 was Scottish monarchs and legendary kings of Britain. I began editing other European monarch articles over the subsequent years, which is when I finally became interested in template design, editing, and standardisation. From 2006 to 2009, I worked diligently to transform all the succession boxes on Wikipedia into one uniform format. When this project was largely achieved, I mostly retired from Wikipedia editing, the bureaucratic fights becoming too troublesome and frequent. In early 2015, I returned due to my increasing use of French royal and aristocratic articles and my realisation that so many of them included major factual errors. Despite some conflicts and compromises, I have made it a personal mission not to overlook factual flaws in articles while I browse the site, using both primary and secondary sources where possible to illustrate my points. I also have returned in a reduced capacity as a succession box editor.
I hereby award you the Template Barnstar, in recognition of all your hard work on succession boxes, and more specifically the templates of the s-start series. May you keep up the good work. Waltham, The Duke of 23:43, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
