October 2024

Information icon Hello, I'm JoshuaJ28. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to article seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. WP:NPOV is a fundamental principle of Wikipedia. To avoid edit war over adding images of personal favourites, 3 points are considered:

1) GDP (top 2, continent wise) - Armenia (38th in Asia)
2) HDI (above 0.700) - Armenia (0.786)
3) Democracy (electoral/liberal democracy) - Armenia (electoral democracy).

All these points have to be satisfied in order to be included in the infobox. Armenia satisfies 2 and 3 only. Australia's GDP ranked 1st in Oceania, HDI 0.946 and have liberal democracy. That's why Australia is added in the infobox.

These points can be ignored only if it affects continental representation and 1/3 representation of women [All five continents (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania) have to be represented atleast once and atleast 3 out of 9 images have to represent women]. Asia is already represented by Japan + there are 3 women leaders already in the infobox. JoshuaJ28 (talk) 00:59, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Celeste Caeiro

[edit]

On 9 December 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Celeste Caeiro, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Celeste Caeiro's actions led to the naming of the 1974 coup in Portugal as the Carnation Revolution? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Celeste Caeiro. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Celeste Caeiro), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
