Nice work. Two notes: (1) please remember to add publication dates to sources and (2) WP:DISCOGS is not a reliable source. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:29, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the review! I know Discogs isn't a good source to use and would love to eventually remove it, just needed SOME sort of source for the genre. Will also add publication dates in all future citations :) Beachweak (talk) 00:30, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If there's no reliable source, you don't need to add a genre. I know it's not satisfying to leave that blank, but everything you add to Wikipedia should be verified. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:36, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Boards of Canada, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Banff Springs. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Selected Ambient Works Volume II (Expanded Edition) album cover.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Selected Ambient Works Volume II (Expanded Edition) album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 18:05, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I've updated the rationale to hopefully be a bit more descriptive. Please let me know if any other improvements need to be made Beachweak (talk) 18:28, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. The only way to keep this image in the article is to describe it in the article based on reliable sources (WP:NFC#CS). — Ирука13 18:32, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There is a section in the article dedicated to the album art which talks about it originating from a leather suitcase. If you mean evidence specifically talking about this new cover art, then I don't think I could provide it since no source specifically talks about the art. Your recent editing history at Fly-killing device shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -Lemonaka 11:27, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The specific edits I have been reverting on the article, at least to me, fall under being unconstructive; it is an IP user replacing an image on the article with something completely unrelated. I have warned them a couple times about this but they seemingly won't respond. This seemed like the appropriate course of action, but I of course could be wrong. Beachweak (talk) 11:29, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I know, but better way for this is WP:RBI, instead of edit warring with vandals. -Lemonaka 11:31, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's fair; I apologise. Beachweak (talk) 11:33, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Selected Ambient Works Volume II you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. DYK for Dostrotime

[edit]

On 18 December 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dostrotime, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a music video for a song on the album Dostrotime was made with an oscilloscope? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dostrotime. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Dostrotime), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
