Adelphi School

Confusingly makes Module:Shortcut unnecessarily cascade protected, when it only needs to be template protected. This page is hiddenly transcluded on Wikipedia:Main Page/Tomorrow (and only that). I know it is not an edit request, but can protection be reduced to full, template or even(this sounds greedy), 30/500? Also, how come it says Protected edit request, not Full Protected or Cascade Protected, but it does for everything else? Also, is it cascade protected permanetely? This page is for administrators to list images that will appear on the Main Page, so that they get full protection on Commons. It prevents image vandalism, so the level of protection is appropriate. Step hen 02:24, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Earthquake damage photo probably a copyvio

The photo 2021 Balochistan earthquake destruction.jpg currently in this page is a copyvio from [1], where the source mentioned is PHOTO: EXPRESS. The photo in tribune.com.pk is of higher resolution, uncropped and published in the same day as the photo was uploaded in Commons. Why is this photo editprotected?

Can someone explain to me why File:Tbilisi - election protests 28 October 2024 - Tinatin Bokuchava (UNM).jpg is edit protected, as shown on this project page Wikipedia:Main Page/Commons media protection? As I stated on c:Commons talk:Auto-protected files, someone took up the bright idea to move the category of this file and now I cannot update the category of the photo. @Labrang That file is edit protected here because it is on the main page tomorrow. However, that is a remote file and there really is no reason you should be creating a local description page for it. Yes, I meant to change the category on Commons. As no one replied there, I looked for other ways. Thanks for the quick response. I wanted to move it up to the renamed category - someone renamed the category; all other files have been moved up, but this one cannot be edited in Commons due to the lock.
