AFDs
[edit]Hello, Babysharkboss2,
If you want to participate in AFD deletion discussion, please give arguments that demonstrate you have studied the article being discussed and carefully reviewed the sources supplied, in the article and in the discussion. Don't just offer an opinion, offer an argument to support your view that is grounded in Wikipedia policy and guidelines. I'm not trying to discourage your participation, I just want you to take it more seriously. AFDs are not for every editor as it requires knowledge and time to contribute productively to the discussion. I know you can do it, just do so thoughtfully. Thanks. Liz Read! Discuss before deleting
[edit]Hello, Babysharkboss2,
Today you deleted fully sourced and cited historical material concerning a racial atrocity that took place in Erwin, Tennessee in 1918. This is the fourth time since 2011 that mention of the event has been deleted from the History section of the town's article, either completely or in part. Full citations have also been deleted, with spurious reasons such as calling a College website source a "private website."
You gave no reason for your deletion.
The matter of these repeated deletions has been broached on the articles Talk page. Please present your reason for wanting to eliminate the history there rather than act in a vigilante manner. I will be reinstating the deleted and sourced material tomorrow, and if you wish to discuss it further, please do so on the Erwin Talk page. Catherineyronwode (talk) 05:37, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
Deleting content
[edit]Hi, you have been deleting sections of content because of what you say are 'shit references'. These references only relate to specific artists who performed at this event. Unfortunately they are the best source we have and I would argue it's better to have context via Discogs and Facebook, for example, than nothing at all. If you really object to an artist reference please can you justify that and only remove that specific reference and not the entire section if agreed. Thanks
- Becuase they are shit sources. per WP:RSPFACEBOOK and WP:DISCOGS we mustn't use them. Babysharkboss2!! (Slap me with the fish. I dare you.) 12:03, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- If you object to a reference please just remove that. There is no justification for deleting an entire section. You are just applying a general recommendation here, which I agree in many cases is acceptable. However, how I can have a 'non shit' reference to an artist who has no other online references, given that many of these are small local artists from almost 20 years ago? Folkingman (talk) 13:04, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have restored the 06 event. If you insist on removing the references please do it on an individual basis. Thanks Folkingman (talk) 13:06, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
lease do it on an individual basis.
Please expand on that. Babysharkboss2!! (Slap me with the fish. I dare you.) 13:08, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Most of the references aren't even ABOUT the festival. We'd rather have: "Five Iron Frenzy plays [insert song here] and blows crowd away!" from CNN, then "Just went to the Five Iron Frenzy concert! [insert song] was crazy!" from some random dude on facebook. please read WP:RSP Babysharkboss2!! (Slap me with the fish. I dare you.) 13:07, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Of course they are about the festival - they are the artists that played! As I said these artists are not famous. They are NOT like Five Iron Frenzy - they do not have other online references. To clarify, if you still object strongly to a specific reference and you feel the article is improved by removing that valuable context, then you can delete that specific reference, but retain the artist name. Folkingman (talk) 13:36, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Then there would be no point. References are still needed. Please read WP:RSP. If they aren't notable, don't include them, or don't shove unreliable sources into the article to add false notability. Babysharkboss2!! (Slap me with the fish. I dare you.) 13:38, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Just because they are not famous doesn't mean that they are not notable in our community. This is a local community festival, not a major international event, and this is a document of it. All history is important. Please can you restore the section and delete those references you object to. Folkingman (talk) 13:42, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

- I've updated the section removing all the 'shit references' that I can detect. Those that remain are to genuine sites, so no Facebook, Discogs, Amazon etc. I'm just trying to document an event for prosperity, not get into a battle on Protocol. Folkingman (talk) 13:58, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Louis Fratino page updated for notability
[edit]Hi, I started a talk section on the Louis Fratino page. It includes the artist's historic inclusion in the 60th Venice Biennale. I've also added recent secondary source references from major publications on the artist. This includes The New York Times, Artforum, and The Financial Times. Can you help me out with next steps for removing the Notability flag? Would love to learn more about how one goes about doing this after adding reputable secondary source references as well major achievements in the "art world." @Babysharkboss2: Hi, by undoing my edit to the above article, you have caused the article to be grammatically incorrect and also returned hyperbole/incorrect information to the plot summary. For instance, they say a character dies when absolutely no mention of death is made in the film - in fact, the character in question BLINKS while stunned/unconscious before being revived. She is not killed. Also, there are sentences that are run-ons/have far too many subjects, followed by pronouns and general group words. When you do that, someone who hasn't seen the film might be confused which subject the pronouns or group word refer to (for instance, "Gang" in a sentence that refers to both the paw patrol and Vance's group. Far better to just clarify by name which group it is). There are 2 or 3 unregistered IPs who keep putting back the grammatically poor sentences in question and also putting back the thing about a character dying, which is totally incorrect. One of these IPs already has warnings for bad edits to a previous article. I can only assume it's either sock-puppets or one person using multiple devices, I think, but their edits ARE INCORRECT. Therefore they should not be returned to the article. EEBuchanan (talk) 19:00, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

Wrong editing
[edit]Assalam o alaikum. Baby shark boss 2.
You have previously undone my edit in "list of scientists in medical Islamic world". In my edit, I removed the word "astrologers" from the page. Astrologers aren't scientist, they don't do anything scientific. That is why keeping the word in this page is wrong. If astrologers are not considered scientist, then how can we add there name in a page named "list of scientists"? Also, by writing that word in it, you are blaming the other scientists, who weren't astrologers, to be astrologers. I request you that please don't change my edit this time. Astrologers aren't scientists so they can't be added in the list of scientists. Also, you re-added the name of Abu Ma'shar al-Balkhi in the list even when he was prominently an astrologer while all others weren't. I hope you understand.
Also, sorry for bad English I am not Englishman. Hahoo1234 (talk) 08:07, 23 October 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Babysharkboss2,
I'm not sure why but you blanked this orphaned talk page and then tagged it as a CSD G13 speedy deletion even though it wasn't a stale draft. First, please do not blank pages unless there is some objectionable content, like a copyright violation or a BLP violation. And, in those cases, when you tag the page with Twinkle, Twinkle will take care of that. Second, if you want to continue to patrol pages, please review WP:CSD and know the codes thoroughly. There was no way this orphaned talk page (CSD G8) could be mistaken for a stale draft article and since it was recently edited, even if you thought it was a draft page (that for some reason was on a Talk page), it could not be considered stale. Thank you for your contributions. Liz Read! Talk! 21:26, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pidakala War. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. I urge - despite your beliefs - you leave the page alone for now. Administrators will revert it to the correct edition in due course. You'd be wasting your time by continuously fighting the other users. Synorem (talk) 16:04, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

If you hadn’t seen it and you simply stumbled onto the page like I did, then by all means please ignore me! But if you had, I’m not too sure of your logic for sniping the edit like that with no reasoning. It isn’t a race!

[edit]Hi, how are you? I noticed you reverted my edit on the Associated Press article. Can you please explain the reason for the revert? PotatoKugel (talk) 04:42, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- I saw that you said that it was NPOV. I was referencing an AllSides article that said the AP has a left bias. How could this possibly be presented neutrally? PotatoKugel (talk) 05:45, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- Why is it necessary? ☩ (Babysharkboss2) 13:08, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- The political bias of a major news agency isn't important? Especially if it changed recently?
- Here is a quote from that AllSides article:
- "The Associated Press has historically been considered the "gold standard" of objective journalism. It operates a wire service, meaning local and national news organizations around the country use AP's content to fill gaps in their coverage. That means AP news content has extremely wide impact and reach.
- As such, AllSides does particularly extensive analysis of AP. When AP displays political bias, or fails to portray political events, legislation, and perspectives in a balanced and even-handed way, the impact is broad and far-reaching. A media outlet that is relied upon by outlets all over the country deserves a high level of scrutiny when it comes to political bias."
- AllSides certainly seems to think it is important to give a judgement on AP's political bias PotatoKugel (talk) 13:16, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- We don't call CNN far-left. Becuase its a controversial thought. Calling OANN far-right isn't controversial. If you want to include political bias, your gonna need more then one source. ☩ (Babysharkboss2) 13:51, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

[edit]I added the Controversy section, which exposes the questionable behavior of the company in not issuing a purchase invoice.
This affects people and/or companies that pay for the additional features.
Don't you think it's important that a company is harming the people who trust it?

- So, can you please added it?
- I think it is important to report this behavior, not just the information about what the software does.
- Regarding the sources, I am the source, in the company where I work we have this same problem, I have sent the emails with the screenshots and they do not issue the invoice. If you need proof, I can send it to you, but it would not be for publication since they have information from the client who asked us to buy the service with them.
- Since I can't post screenshots of the purchase (because have private information from a customer), I used links to reddit where several users reported the same problem.
- I can send screenshots of the purchase and copies of the emails where we requested the invoice, but they cannot be published for everyone because they contain private information.
- Any idea? Angelvg (talk) 17:52, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- No. We require WP:Reliable sources to publish nearly anything. Especially something such as a criticism section. Reddit is not a reliable source. ☩ (Babysharkboss2) 18:09, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 10
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pinewood Preparatory School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Columbia College. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi Babysharkboss2,
You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
If I see correctly, you had restored a birth date removed "for privacy" reasons in the article about Nancy Torresen without providing a citation. Are you sure that the information has been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public
as required by WP:BLPPRIVACY, and would you mind citing the source you used when restoring the material?
Thank you very much in advance and best regards,

Do you follow me somehow?
[edit]I'm kind of curious now that you've thanked several of my edits on the most random places such as my talk page. Do you just check my contribs page often or am I on your watchlist or something? ApteryxRainWing🐉 | Roar with me!!! | My contributions 17:24, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- I just monitor Recent Changes, lol. ☩ (Babysharkboss2) 17:24, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oh that makes sense. Given how often the encyclopedia is edited, I'm surprised you've caught me multiple times (although maybe it isn't hard to find me when I flood the contribs log with welcome messages on newbies' talk pages.) ApteryxRainWing🐉 | Roar with me!!! | My contributions 17:27, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
Why did you revert me on the true cross page?
[edit]You added redundant text, which I had copy edited. Why do you feel the same information should be in the sentence twice? Extra Jesus Hold The Satan!! (talk) 02:36, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
Trouted
[edit]Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly. |
You have been trouted for: Removing another editor's post on my talk page. It wasn't clear vandalism, and it was not your user talk page, so no touchy! 【💬】 12:09, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
