Editing RfC listing entries

[edit]

Hi, I realise that it's several days late, but edits like this won't work. It's a bot-built page, and any edits not made by Legobot are always overwritten on the next bot run. There are two issues here:

  1. Legobot has a known bug (which AFAIK won't be fixed unless somebody takes over the bot from Legoktm) where certain characters such as "ō" are replaced by question marks. The workaround for this is to create a redirect, as with Talk:Sh?nen manga.
  2. As per WP:RFCST, Legobot takes the first valid timestamp as the end of the RfC statement, the lack of a timestamp causes the first comment to be taken as part of the statement. The fix is to edit the page where the RfC is actually occurring (not the bot-generated listing) add a timestamp, possibly preceded by a signature, i.e. instead of
How should this article define the age range of shōnen manga?

    you would put
How should this article define the age range of shōnen manga? 15:20, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

    or
How should this article define the age range of shōnen manga? [[User:Morgan695|Morgan695]] ([[User talk:Morgan695|talk]]) 15:20, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

Lemma of the Yaoi Article

[edit]

Shouldnt the Lemma from the Yaoi Article not finaly be changed to Boys Love, since its the most Popular in the Academic side, aswell at the Publishing side, and Global Popularity? The Other Karma (talk) 18:31, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest moving this discussion to the article talk page; I started a thread about the subject here a few months ago. If you intend to propose a formal name change, I think it's important we get our ducks in a row before doing so; e.g. a direct search for "boys love" is going to turn up a lot of false positives because it's going to pick up general uses of the phrase (e.g. "the two boys love ice cream"). Have to admit, I've been keeping track of your work on Utena for the past few weeks and eagerly awaiting to see the end result. As always, your work on the article was divine, and actually got me thinking about rewatching the anime in the near future. Love how you've been on an anime roll the past few months. XD I actually did want to ask you something, however. Really beautiful work on this article, it's great to see Utena getting such an excellent FA treatment! —Collint c 17:04, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the article, introduced: "Born from its creator's discontent over his lack of creative freedom as a director of Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena is a defining work of 1990s anime. Whenever I try to sell Utena to someone (particularly someone that might be skeptical of anime), I describe it as a sort of cousin to Twin Peaks – much like that series outwardly resembles a standard network detective show but ultimately tells a story that is much more surreal and impressionistic, Utena uses the trappings and aesthetics of '90s girls' anime to tell an avant-garde coming-of-age story influenced by experimental Japanese theater and the works of Hermann Hesse." --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:20, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Heads Up

[edit]

I have nominated Animal Crossing Plaza for good article status. Nothing crazy—it's my smallest article at ~400 words—but you still have half of the authorship regardless, so it's procedure I let you know. Panini! 🥪 01:37, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update: It passed immediately. Shocker. Panini! 🥪 23:40, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About Cap's abilities

[edit]

Morgan695, although there are some handbooks that said Captain America has no superhuman powers. There are other handbooks that I know that said that he does have superpowers in spite of him being enhanced to peak human potential. Do you want me to prove it to you? Captain America FAC

[edit]

Hey Morgan. A few months ago you made a peer review for Captain America wanting to get it to FA-status, as Iron Man was undergoing FAC. I wanted to leave comments back then, but I had way too much going on at the time, and was disappointed nobody else gave input. I was just wondering, now that things are a bit calmer and I could dedicate time to properly go through the article bit by bit, would you like me to leave my comments on your talk page once I'm done? I'm not trying to push you to restart work on the article or anything. Just that if you do decide to work on it further, you'll have some pointers ready. PanagiotisZois (talk) 12:56, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, go right ahead. I'd appreciate whatever feedback you have. Morgan695 (talk) 14:17, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Took me almost two months. Wow. Anyway, if you ever decide to do another peer review or start a FAC, I have my comments for the article ready. PanagiotisZois (talk) 20:08, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@PanagiotisZois: Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time to review the article. For personal time reasons I honestly don't see myself mounting an FAC or PR anytime soon, so if you wanted to post your comments in another form, please feel free to do so. Morgan695 (talk) 16:51, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll leave them be for now instead of posting them somewhere/somehow else. I understand one needs time (and energy) to work on peer reviews and whatnot. Whenever you feel like you'd like to restart your attempt to get Captain America to FA status, my comments will be waiting. :D PanagiotisZois (talk) 00:00, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
