Hello. I noticed you unmerged references in this article some months ago [1]. I'm just curious what the reason for this was? Bogazicili (talk) 20:19, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of the references used quotes. I think that using unmerged references makes it more clear which quote corresponds to which source. --MtPenguinMonster (talk) 00:43, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback. I think bulleted merged references would be clearer? What do you think? I think the original intent in merging references in the lead was that they would be less of a distraction. Many FA articles do not even have references in the lead. Bogazicili (talk) 17:53, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that merging references can be good for making the article less cluttered. However, if a source is quoted, it is good to have the quote and its source in their own <ref> tag to make it as clear as possible that the quote corresponds to the source. --MtPenguinMonster (talk) 02:58, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent non-admin close at ITNC

[edit]

Hi, I reverted your non-admin WP:SNOW close. Only three people had !voted, and the discussion was open for barely an hour, which is way too little to establish consensus. For comparison, the Sudan discussion had three people !voting to support at first, but ended up going the other way, so this is not enough to know which direction it will take with certainty. That seems fair. I accept the revert. --MtPenguinMonster (talk) 00:08, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
