[edit]Hey, sorry about not getting back to you. I would be interested, though I don't know that I'm yet in the best space to be working towards GA nominations. Perhaps in the future when things are more relaxed. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 00:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
Doctor Who series 2 ratings
[edit]Hi OlifanofmrTennant, I am just letting you know, in order to save you time and in case you begin one yourself, that I will create a ratings table for the Doctor Who series 2 article in my sandbox, which I will then publish on the article. All the best, Lotsw73 (talk) 13:12, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- I would advise against using Doctor Who News. Its a pretty iffy source, regardless I will put toghether some prose. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 02:16, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

The Giggle (Doctor Who)
[edit]Apologies about not getting to work on The Name of the Doctor recently. I've admittedly been getting very sidetracked, but it's on my to-do list to do very soon. In any case, I recently expanded The Giggle with production information and additional reviews for the Reception. Would you be willing to go through and make sure everything is formatted properly? I'm still new to writing for TV episodes and I want to make sure everything's in order before I nominate this for Good Article. Has one ever considered Magneton? - @OlifanofmrTennant Given that you've added a good chunk to that article beforehand and reviewing it now, I wouldn't be opposed if you want to be listed. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 02:18, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

- @OlifanofmrTennant I've just noticed that since Doctor Who specials (2023) and The Star Beast (Doctor Who episode) are already GAs, and with The Giggle being nominated, Wild Blue Yonder (Doctor Who) is the only one of the specials not to be GA-ready. Would you be willing to collaborate to improve it to GA status? I'd be willing to do most of the sourcing if it's easier that way, but given how close we are to a potential Good Topic it feels a worthwhile goal to go after. Has one ever considered Magneton? - (talk page stalker) I'd be willing to hop in on and help on WBY if you guys don't mind? I could probably add stuff from the Unleashed episode sometime over the next few days if it's needed. TheDoctorWho (talk) 05:19, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

- @TheDoctorWho @OlifanofmrTennant I've added more sources to the Reception and expanded the Behind the Scenes information. All that's needed now is the information from the Unleashed episode and a copy-edit in case of any mistakes on my part. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 20:11, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- I mean honestly the YouTube BTS videos are usually a cut down version of the Unleashed episodes. That said, I'm honestly not sure that I'll find that much more to add and I have no objections if you two want to go ahead and nominate it. I believe there's a CC-BY short from the YouTube channel I can add to the plot section.
- I can use the extra time to wrap up work on the GAN for Space Babies. TheDoctorWho (talk) 05:43, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Added the clip. I noticed
my armthe plot is just a tad too long. TheDoctorWho (talk) 06:11, 30 June 2024 (UTC)- @TheDoctorWho is the current plot good? I've tried to trim it as best as I can but I'm uncertain what the usual length for a television episode is. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 21:20, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Still looks to be about 50 words too long per MOS:TVPLOT.
- An episode article should have a length of 400 words or less (200 or less for episode summaries on series/season, show, or list of episode pages). There's a script you can install on your common.js page that will check it and let you know. TheDoctorWho (talk) 21:27, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, just checked again, the count I had above included the video caption. Subtracting that it's only 24 words too long. TheDoctorWho (talk) 21:29, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- @TheDoctorWho I moved the mentions of the salt to the Development section given how it impacts the following episode, which shifts the word count below 400. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 22:28, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Additionally, would both you and @OlifanofmrTennant want to be listed as co-noms? I'll do most of the work during the review of course if it's easier but I do want to check with both of you either way. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 22:32, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Yup, latest count returned 377 words so its good to go with a little wiggle room. I have no objection to being a co-nom, but I do understand that I didn't contribute that much to the overall article, so I also won't be upset if either of you want to leave me off. - @TheDoctorWho: Supplementary episodes aren't included in GTs historically speaking. For the series 6 GT, Space and Time is a GA but is not included and Night and the Doctor is not a GA but didn't hold the nom back. I previously told @Pokelego999: the same thing about a possible s7 gt. - I personally feel like this is a prime example of WP:OTHERSTUFF/WP:OTHERCONTENT, just because it's excluded in one location doesn't mean we should automatically exclude it in another. The article clearly meets WP:GT? points 1(B)(C), and honestly shouldn't be excluded per 1(D). TheDoctorWhoPublic (talk) 15:22, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

The Name of the Doctor
[edit]I did what research I could and added some additional information to the article, but frankly the search for the episode has been buried in other results and BTS info is very lacking. I'm admittedly a bit stumped on how best to proceed with the article since there really isn't much out there for it, surprisingly, and the stuff that does exist is buried and difficult to find. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 20:33, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Pokelego999: So possibly send the article to GA in its current state? Production info seems relativly weak though Broadcast is definatly strong enough Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 10:09, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

- Yeah Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 17:12, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Pokelego999 I did a little digging for a little side project i've been devolopeing and I found this, Doctor Who - The Complete History (2015) it provides tons of details on every serial through Twice Upon a Time. A ton of production info, its reliable its been used for the classic series GAs. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 18:21, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- @OlifanofmrTennant I've heard about these books (Iirc I forget if they're a primary source or not but either way I remember seeing ads in DWM for them back in the day) and tmk they definitely are reliable. I'll see if I can't add info from this to the article later today once I've gotten some irl things done. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 19:15, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- @OlifanofmrTennant A few things
- I severely underestimated the content this book had to offer. I'm afraid I won't have time to add all the information myself. I've added a good chunk on the writing section, but I'm afraid I'll have to leave the rest to you. I'm really sorry, but my schedule doesn't allow for this much of a time sink.
- Where did you find this on Archive.org? I'd love to check this out of their library for myself given my current work at List of Doctor Who universe creatures and aliens, but when I checked I could only find specific incarnations of The Complete History for borrowing.
- In any case, best of luck with editing. If you need my help for any other edits of a smaller duration, do let me know, but going through 40+ pages of a book and citing all the content individually is a bit outside of the time frame I have available to me. My schedule is stricter than I'd like and I only have so much free time, let alone for editing. I'm really sorry I can't be of further help right now. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 04:20, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Pokelego999: I'll definitely get to work. Though given the amount of info I would consider pulling the nomination. I searched Terror of the Zygon in the books tap then filtered by found in text. I found it amount collection of various magazine scans and other books. I recommend searching your topic by in text as opposed to metadata. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 04:24, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- I'll see if I can't look into the book when I have time, then. But yeah, given the amount of time it'll take to add this info, I'm willing to pull the nomination and re-nominate when you've added all of the information to the article in order to allow for the smoothest editing window.
- As an aside, do you plan on adding info from this book to your other GAs from Series 7? I doubt we can retroactively add it to every GA we have (That would require a project in and of itself) but given this one's up for nomination soon it might be worthwhile. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 04:28, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- Probably, unrelated would you be willing to take a look at Terror of the Zygons I've been fixing it up and was hoping for some feedback Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 05:05, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- @OlifanofmrTennant looking it over briefly, I'd suggest expanding it with info from The Complete History and this source if possible, since both contain a wealth of production info. There's probably more, but I feel that's a good start. Honestly kudos to you for improving that article, since there's a lot of lower end Classic Who articles. (Reminds me I should try to get to Terror of the Vervoids at some point when I have time lmao) Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 19:34, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

Regarding the 2022 Specials
[edit]Hi there, not sure if you still plan on helping out with this. If not (in reference to your message about the newsletter on the project talk page), I completely understand. I was initially a bit intimidated seeing how much work needed to be done for this one, but after I improved the episode articles first, I think we're in a really good place honestly. A lot of the information from the individual episodes could probably be merged and summarized into overall information to make up a large majority of the production sections. I think our biggest task (and this goes for the episode articles too) is finding a replacement for DWN. I haven't personally had a chance to look yet, but I'm hoping the viewership numbers won't be too hard. AI figures may be a task. TheDoctorWho (talk) 05:20, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah I belive so as well. I'v begun digging through old magazine to find numbers Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 05:23, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Just a quick update and current thoughts on where this stands, because I know it's been a minute since I've worked on it:
- I think casting and filming sections are pretty much polished off.
- I'd like to see if I can expand development and writing just a tad, but as I stated above, this should be simple because I can just pull anything I need from the episode articles.
- Promotion looks good since there's only three episodes, but I may still rewrite it, lmao.
- Broadcast seems okay, I'll likely copy over info on the U.S./Can/Aus broadcasts from the episode articles.
- I still think reception will probably still be the biggest task to tackle. I will say though, that most GA reviewers seem understanding that DWN is being replaced project-wide, and aren't holding promotions because of that. That said, if we get everything other than the DWN replacement done, we can probably go ahead and nominate it, and mention that the project is working on it, if asked. Regardless, this section still needs a ratings analysis, and hopefully some reviews on the three specials together, if they exist.

- I can definitely through together some reception and pulls some interesting info for writng Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 15:30, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Apologies for the edit conflict, I had decided to add to the writing a bit myself, guess we had the same idea 😅. I'm personally satisfied with how writing looks now, but as I said in the edit summary, feel free to add to it if you have anything else.
- I still intend on polishing off the development section, but other than that we're nearly done. I also added to the critical response section a bit (and shifted the portion you added to the writing section there). I'd like some more non-Thasmin focused stuff, if any exists. I didn't have much luck finding any though, you might have better look if you have time to take a look? TheDoctorWho (talk) 07:23, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
- Further update, I went ahead and pushed the GAN through, still feel free to add to it with anything else you had, if you want. TheDoctorWho (talk) 06:53, 20 October 2024 (UTC)

Twelfth Doctor Good Topic
[edit]I noticed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Doctor Who/Goals that your Twelfth Doctor GT primarily needs the fictional characters (As well as For Tonight We Might Die) in order to be completed. As the Class episode really only needs minor touch-ups, the other characters are the main bulk of the issue. If you'd like, I can try doing some work on these to help with your goal, as this also helps with several of my fictional character related goals. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 15:34, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'd absolutly accept the help for the characters, particularly Nardole who up until recently was tagged for notability concerns. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 00:21, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- @OlifanofmrTennant I'll do some digging then. I'll prioritize Nardole for now, then go for Bill, as those two need the most work. I'll work on touch-ups and improvements to Twelve and Clara after that. I can't guarantee this will be done soon but I'll try to work on them as best as I can. Has one ever considered Magneton? Question from VincentHenri (10:19, 23 November 2024)
[edit]Hello, Olifanofmr Tennant. My name is VincentHenri. I, too, like television. I recently looked up and story about a B-24 Liberator bomber that crashed in North Africa during WW2. When found so many years later it became the subject of a couple of TV programs. In particular a One Step Beyond episode in which the Wikipedia article referred to the main character seeing a formation of Panther jets. After watching the episode I believe it should read that the main character saw a formation of Cougar jets. Although built by the same manufacturer, the latter Cougar jet is identifiable by the swept wings. I know this could be a small item, but is this the kind of thing for Wikipedia? --VincentHenri (talk) 10:19, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- If you can find a WP:Reliable source proving it then its defently a thing for wikipedia Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 00:48, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia. Wikipedia invites everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, but one or more redirects you created, such as with Speed of Flight, have been considered disruptive and/or malicious, and have been reverted or deleted. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 22:36, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- This article should have been redirected to Virgin Missing Adventures; True airspeed makes no sense for the title. -- Alex_21 TALK 23:14, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, I marked the redirect as reviewed, and I thought it made sense @Alex 21. Maybe not the best target given the prior content at the redirect, but it's not as though the redirect target was silly if you looked strictly at the redirect title. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:07, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Dl2000: This is an inappropriate warning, as it's very clear that @OlifanofmrTennant was not malicious. Your edit summary was not appropriate either, considering they were clearly acting in good faith. Consider actually communicating with a user instead of dropping inappropriate warning templates. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:05, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- It seemed inappropriate and almost disruptive to redirect from a novel article to an aeronautical term, especially since no prior sourcing or notability issues with the Speed of Flight novel were flagged or mentioned in its talk page. However, concur this warning should not have been used here. Dl2000 (talk) 20:54, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Peter Capaldi
[edit]On 11 December 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Peter Capaldi, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi was a fan of the series as a child? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Peter Capaldi. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Peter Capaldi), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Better fair use rationale for File:Debate 109.jpeg
[edit]Hi, I saw you added the image File:Debate 109.jpeg for use in the article "Debate 109". However, at the moment, the image appears to serve a purely aesthetic purpose. Per MOS:TVIMAGE: a screenshot of a significant moment or element from the episode ... may only be used if it meets the non-free content criteria, i.e., (typically) if it is required to illustrate the object of explicit, sourced analytical commentary, and where that commentary needs visual support to be understood.
Basically, is the image relevant to the reader understanding the episode better? I think this is a weak case, and it definitely needs a better rationale via both the image description page and the image caption if it is to remain. (Also, just a friendly reminder that alt text is always a good idea when adding images.) RunningTiger123 (talk) 04:40, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- I fear you may be right. From my first read of the sources I thought the scene was critically praised. Would you have any suggestions for any alternatives? From rereading reviews the Annie and Jeff relation was somewhat controversial so maybe one of them? Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 05:31, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- You don't need to have a screenshot; plenty of episode GAs and FAs don't use them (for instance, these Community GAs). I can't really think of a specific scene that needs a visual explanation right now, but you're welcome to look into the sources further and see if they offer better guidance.
